  • ITS HISTORY

    CHEMOTECNICA SINTYAL was founded in 1943 with the objective of manufacturing products for human health as well as for agricultural and livestock business. Adhesives were added to the product line some years later.

    Milestones

    The forties: Beginning of alkaloid production and exports to Europe and Mexico, approved by international offices.

    The fifties: A share in the supply of products for the elimination of locusts in Argentina.

    The sixties: Cooperation in the campaign against mange in sheep in Southern Argentina.

    1980: Inauguration in Carlos Spegazzini (Province of Buenos Aires) of the present chemical synthesis plant for the production of insecticides and veterinary drugs.This move forward converted the company into one of the first national laboratories to synthesize and produce a large number of active ingredients.

    1997: The Pharmaceutical Division was sold in order to concentrate on the agricultural and livestock, business line and well as industrial and urban pest control.

    CHEMOTECNICA S.A., as a company, and each of its employees, individually, is strongly committed to our Quality Management System.

    This is to be observed in our customer satisfaction policy to provide appropriate standards and constant improvement over the entire range of operative and administrative stages, from reception of supplies to delivery of products, including storage, synthesis, formulation and packing.

    As for our products, the modern laboratory area, for example, is equipped to run every type of general and routine test as well as the more complex tests that may be required.

    All these controls and internal guidelines contribute to the smooth running of our Quality Management System.

    Environmental Commitment
    The inauguration ceremony of the aqueous effluents treatment plant took place in December 2000, attended by municipal authorities and executives from the Supplier Company and CHEMOTECNICA S.A.

    Biotecma S.A., an Argentinean company of substantial Belgian capital, built the plant with UNITANK technology, based on the metabolic activity of microorganisms that produce aerobic oxidation of industrial effluents.

    The plant is completely automated, with adequate software to control and regulate process variables such as pH, percentage of dissolved oxygen, etc.

    Industrial Plant
    CHEMOTECNICA S.A.’s industrial plant is situated in Carlos Spegazzini, Province of Buenos Aires on a site of 11 hectares with facilities that cover 12.400 square meters. It is one of the first of its kind in Latin America and is fully equipped for synthesizing active ingredients and producing veterinary drugs, agrochemicals and adhesives.
